Thank you for the adventures, the beautiful places we visited & all the memories you have left me. You were not meant to go before me but fate took a hand.
I was so lucky to share my life with you & I will hold you in my heart until we are reunited.
Love you my Jake xx

My father and Ray were first cousins yet they only recently met. In fact I met Ray before my father did through Rays work on the Jacob family history. We met at The Hawthorne’s for the first time when Watford came to visit and Ray and Eileen invited me, my so and brother to their house. Ray was so friendly and generous and the few times that I met Ray since, he was the same. Ray was authentic, friendly, kind and generous and I will miss the football and family related chats that we had. My thoughts go to Eileen and Kurt

My thoughts about Ray that first come to mind was how when I was struggling with life during the 'Thatcher' years when I and millions of others were out of work, me for almost four years in two spells, I had the opportunity to go on an engineering course with Man - power services to re-train, but it was in Birmingham so awkward to travel from Telford, but Ray and Eileen offered me a room to stay where they lived at that time, close to the Training center, Sunday till Friday which lasted about thirty eight weeks, and they looked after me very well, at the end of the course I was able to find a good job, I will be ever grateful for the help I was given at that time but that was Ray and Eileen always looking to help out. RIP Ray. 🙏
